Queen’s Professor is guest at Writers’ Group
Members of Ballymoney Creative Writers’ Group came together last Tuesday night for a special class with Professor Paula Meehan from Queen’s University Belfast conducting a workshop.
Facilitator of the Group, Teresa Godfrey, said members were honoured to have such a distinguished person as Professor Meehan present to impart her considerable knowledge and to hear the work of those taking part.
Professor Meehan is currently engaged on a three-year arrangement with Queen’s and takes pleasure in visiting Writing Groups throughout the Province.
The Ballymoney Group have been in existence for some 17 years and enjoy a healthy membership.
Meetings are held every Tuesday and Thursday nights.
