‘Major sale’ in McAfee Ballymoney auction rooms

What McAfee Auctions are describing as a ‘major sale’ takes place in their Ballymoney Auction Rooms this Thursday and it is a really major sale, bearing in mind they have approximately 900 lots – triggering off an earlier than usual start of 6pm.

Antique and general furnishings, lots of paintings, clocks, collectibles including lots of pieces of silver, mainly make up the sale with a tint of the more unusual throughout.

“There really is something for everyone,” said Gerry McAfee. “From good antiques to good modern furniture, and for the collector there’s paintings, pieces of Moorcroft, Doulton figurines, lots of nice small solid silver pieces, postcard and stamp albums, grandfather, wall and mantle clocks, crystal, brass, copper etc.

“Among the more unusual items is an old campaign bath, the first for the auction room, and there is even a 2013, 208 5 door Peugeot hatchback, one owner from new, with less than 11,000 miles.”
