Human League are top draw

THE Human League are one of the top draws at this year’s Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival.

The cult band play the Festival Marquee on Saturday, April 30 at 8pm. Tickets (£20) are available from usual outlets.

Formed in 1977, The Human League emerged from the industrial bleakness of 1970’s Sheffield with a sound that made them one of the most successful New Wave acts of the 1980’s. Their seminal album Dare!, released in 1981, became an instant classic as did the single ‘Don’t You Want Me’ with both releases shooting to number one all over the world and staying there.
