Drama Group scoops UK final spot
A local amateur drama group's production of 'Melody' by Deirdre Kinahan swept the boards at the NI one act festival finals last weekend. A two-hander, 'Melody' told the bittersweet tale of lunch, romance and classical music in the park to the obvious enjoyment of an enthralled audience at Belvoir Studio Theatre.
Adjudicator Tom Doherty GODA commended the production as 'excellent' and cited the warmth and humour of the piece so effectively conveyed by actors Rosaleen Agnew and Pauric Dunne who received the Best Actress and Best Actor awards for their performance.
