Holmes named Cricketer of the Year at Carrickfergus

Jamie Holmes was named as Carrickfergus Cricket Club’s Cricketer of the Year at its annual awards night.

Attending the event was Peter McMorran, president of the Northern Cricket Union as well as club vice-president, and East Antrim MLA, David Hilditch.

Club captain Iain Parkhill shared his thoughts on the campaign past, whilst chairman Jim Nelson thanked everyone who has helped the club throughout the season - both on and off the field.

The prize winners for the 2015 season were as follows: Cricketer of the Year: Jamie Holmes (accepted by Anthony Martin); Young Cricketer of the Year: Alex Haggan; Best Individual Match-Winning Performance: Jon Ring (accepted by Gordon Browne); 1st XI Batsman: Jon Ring (accepted by Gordon Browne); 1st XI Bowler: Ryan Eagleson;

Seconds: 2nd XI Batsman: Adam Fittis; 2nd XI Bowler: Alastair Burton;

Thirds: 3rd XI Batsman: Bradley Luney; 3rd XI Bowler: Jack Buchanan-Rolleston

Fourths: 4th XI Batsman: Max Burton; 4th XI Bowler: Jack Buchanan-Rolleston;

Youths: U15 Batsman: Max Burton; U15 Bowler: Adam Crook; U13 Batsman: Ben Buchanan-Rolleston; U13 Bowler: Scott Gardner; U11 Batsman: Charlie Burton; U11 Bowler: Daniel Bolton
