Ian Clelland was Seapark AC’s top performer at recent the Lisburn half-marathon.
The race was the fifth in the annual Pure Running half-marathon series, with Seapark AC athletes featuring well.
From veteran endurance performers to newcomers, Seapark’s representation was wide ranging. But it was the terrific performance of Clelland, who finished in 1:28, which caught the eye.
Other times: Brendan Rice, 1:38, Gillian Cordner and Gary Connolly 1:40, Caroline Salters 1:43, Gillian Strudwick 1:52, Allan Grant 1:54 (pb).
Saturday also saw another strong turnout for Carrick parkrun, with 135 runners turning up to run the 5k distance.
This week featured a graduation of new runners from Jog Carrickfergus, who completed their first 5k.
The parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9.30am starting at the Amphitheatre.
