Safety bollards have been put in place outside Victoria Primary School.

Bollards have been installed outside the school at Coronation Road following complaints from concerned parents over traffic.

In a statement, DUP councillor Cheryl Johnston said: “Due to congestion at peak times, motorists were mounting kerbs to allow traffic to pass which was proving dangerous for schoolchildren and their families.

“After working with the Department of Infrastructure, additional bollards have been erected at this point which we hope will reduce the risk to children and parents alike.”
