Two people taken to hospital after crash

Two people were taken to hospital following a two-car collision in Carrickfergus last night.

Crews from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the collision in the North Road area shortly after 9pm.

One patient was taken to Antrim Area Hospital and one to Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital.

Their injuries are not life-threatening, said a spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
