A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “There has been a multiple-vehicle collision leaving Belfast on the M2 between York Street and Fortwilliam.

“There are long delays on the M2, M3, A12 Westlink and surrounding roads as a result.

“All vehicles have been quickly moved to the hard shoulder. However, drivers can still expect long knock on delays.”
