Two representatives from Belfast Lough Salability have picked up accolades during the Royal Yachting Association National Volunteer Awards in London.
Cameron Date (15) won the Youth Award, while Christine Harper was given the Award for Outstanding Contribution.
The local duo were presented with their awards by HRH The Princess Royal, who asked Cameron how he had become involved with the charity.
The Carrick Grammar pupil told Princess Anne: “I had been sailing with Carrickfergus Sailing Club since I was 9 and started helping disabled sailors through club racing when Belfast Lough Sailability members were participating. I enjoy being able to help others go out for a sail.”
