Repairs ongoing at burst water main in Carrick

Northern Ireland Water staff are aiming to fix a burst water main in the Beltoy Road area of Carrickfergus by this Friday (July 13).

It follows reports of a supply problem in the area over the past week, with some residents indicating they were having to use facilities at Eden Community Centre in the meantime.

A NI Water spokesperson said: “NI Water recently dealt with a burst in the Beltoy Road area of Carrickfergus. A further burst occurred on this watermain which supplies the area, and staff have commenced the repair today. However, the repair is complex and will take several days to complete. We anticipate that all work should be completed by Friday 13th July.
