The local authority confirmed that tours at the coastal attraction will resume from Monday, April 26.

It follows the easing of public health restrictions relating to Covid-19 with outdoor attractions across Northern Ireland given the green light to reopen from Friday, April 23.

"We are ‘good to go’ and we can’t wait to welcome you back," a post on the council's Facebook page read.

Meanwhile, MEABC is asking all businesses who have received their COVID Self Assessment Checklist Questionnaire, part of the COVID Confidence Scheme, to have them ready for collection by council staff.

The scheme was launched in November 2020 and has been designed to provide reassurance to businesses, customers and communities that shops and businesses are safe to return as coronavirus restrictions begin to relax.

"Any business who has not received one of the COVID Confidence Packs is asked to get in touch with us at [email protected] and we will arrange for one to be delivered to you," a spokesperson said.

"Alternatively, the packs can also be downloaded here."
