Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of missing Carrickfergus man Robert Hanna.
The 47-year-old was kayaking in the waters off Portmuck, Islandmagee on Monday afternoon, but failed to return to shore.
A massive search and rescue operation was launched, involving four helicopters, six lifeboats and a number of Coastguard teams. The search extended from Carrickfergus to Ballycastle, while searches also took place off the Co Down coast.
However, nothing was found and the operation was called off on Tuesday afternoon.
Police have taken over from the Coastguard as the lead agency in the search for the missing man.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Mr Hanna, or if you believe you have any information that may assist us in our enquiries, we would ask that you contact police on the non-emergency number 101.”
