Run by community group Positive Carrickfergus the scheme poses the question: “What’s your wildest dream for Carrick?”

The group has already delivered thousands of its ‘Wildest Dream’ postcards throughout the town in a bid to gather views.

A post on the Positive Carrickfergus website read: “Did you just get one of our postcards through your letterbox? Are you wondering what you’re supposed to do with it?

“We are really serious about involving as many people as possible in thinking about the future and have delivered Wildest Dream postcards to every household in Carrick.

“We want to dream big about the future of Carrick and we want you to dream big too! Go wild! Be ridiculous! There are no limits. We’re really excited to read about your dreams. The wilder the better!”

Residents are asked to write down their dream or even draw it, pop it on the postcard, drop it off at the Positive Carrickfergus Talking Shop or post it to Unit 8, The Courtyard, Scotch Quarter, Carrickfergus BT38 7DP.

“If you’d rather not post it, take a picture and send it to us at [email protected],” the group added.

“We’ll display your postcards and ideas in our Talking Shop so you’ll be able to see what other people are dreaming about. We’ll also identify common themes and ideas that to inform more work with you about our collective Carrick future.”

Positive Carrickfergus is a Community Interest Company of people who live and work in Carrickfergus, all of whom are doing their bit to make the town a great place to live.

The organisation has grown out of an online community of more than 5,000 people that started in October 2017.

Earlier this month, Positive Carrickfergus was awarded £10,000 to support the development of a maritime exhibition in the town.
