Paddle boarding ‘not permitted in Carrick Marina’ warning as temperatures soar

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council has issued a timely warning over water sport safety as Carrrickfergus basks in summer sunshine.

In a statement, council said: “We want to remind jet ski users and other users in the water to be mindful of the safety of others as per signage.

“Fisherman’s Quay slipway:

Jetskis launch at left side of the quay only;

Carrick Marina. INCT 03-050-tcCarrick Marina. INCT 03-050-tc
Carrick Marina. INCT 03-050-tc

Swimmers access at right side of the quay only.

“Furthermore, paddle boarding is allowed in Carrickfergus Harbour but it is not permitted in Carrickfergus Marina.

“Please be aware of marine traffic for your own safety.”
