Council will ‘attempt to collect missed bins early next week’

East Antrim reisdents whose bins were not emptied this week due to icy weather are being advised to leave their bins out so they can be collected.

Posting on social media today (Friday), a spokesperson for Mid and East Antrim Borough Council said: “Due to snow and icy conditions this morning, bin collections within the Larne area may be slightly later than usual.

“The crew will attempt to collect any bins that were not collected yesterday early next week.

“Please keep bins presented in Carnalbanagh Road, Glenview Road, Drumcrow Road, Starbog Road, Upper and Lower Ballyboley Road, Junction Road, Castletown Road, Moss Road, Shaneshill Road, Belfast Road and Larne Road to ensure collection.”

The spokesperson added: “The crew are also struggling with collections today in Ballycarry, Magheramourne, Islandmagee, Gleno and all country roads around these areas.”
