Although both had joined the club Zoom meetings during the pandemic restrictions, the president described it as the perfect tonic to be able to welcome them to the club in person.

Jim McGavock was inducted into club membership. Jim, the club president said, already felt like a member because he had supported and helped with all Rotary projects since his wife Hilary became a Rotarian a number of years back.

A warm welcome was also extended to Trevor Reid who has relocated to the east Antrim area from Scotland and is joining the Carrickfergus Club from the Rotary Club of Castle Douglas.

President Sam Crowe welcomes Trevor Reid, previously a Rotarian with Castle Douglas Club, to membership of Carrickfergus Rotary Club.

The president added that he looked forward to the new members’ added contribution to club life.
