'Organised fight' in Carrickfergus

It is understood the incident occurred in the Rodgers Quay area of the town at approximately 6:30pm on Saturday (April 14).

"We had to deal with a large group of young people who had gathered to watch an organised fight," said a PSNI spokesperson.

"We appreciate that a lot of parents know exactly what their kids are up to and keep them away from trouble, but it’s also clear that many have no idea!

"We can only do so much, so we need your help before someone gets hurt. One punch can kill remember so it doesn’t bear thinking about what could happen as a result of one of these organised fights."
