Heartbroken Carrick dog owner in emotional appeal after road death


Police are seeking witnesses of a hit and run accident in Carrick on Friday night.

Shortly before midnight, a dog was fatally injured in a collision involving a white car at Albert Road.

The accident occurred near the railway bridge at approximately 11.56 pm.

Heartbroken owner Emma Magee said: “Lorcán was killed by a reckless driver, driving a white car in Carrickfergus. The driver sped away trailing his lifeless body along the road.”

She is appealing to anyone who can help police with their inquiries to come forward.

Emma added: “Lorcán was loved by all and was treated like our baby. Any information is welcome.”
