Police are appealing for information after vandals targeted Carrickfergus Amphitheatre at the weekend.

It has been reported to the PSNI that along with tiles on the Prince William Way leisure centre being damaged that glass bottles were broken throughout the car park and the children’s playground.

Carrickfergus PSNI stated on Sunday: “Needless to say this has been a reckless act whereby the offenders have given no regard for the consequence of their actions and police are very keen to identify them.

“Work is ongoing to secure any potential CCTV footage to aid in the investigation but we appeal to you that if you saw anyone in the area in the hours of darkness yesterday evening into this morning then we would like to hear from you.
