Police are appealing for information after a girl was touched inappropriately at Boneybefore in Carrick last night.

The incident occurred at approximately 10.00 pm last night.

A PSNI spokesperson said that the girl was assaulted after being approached from behind by a male who then fled.

He has been described as aged in his late teens, 5ft 10 inches in height, of athletic build with light brown hair and wearing a dark tracksuit and light trainers.

The assailant then ran off “down Boneybefore towards the cottages”.

The police spokesperson added: “The young girl is obviously shaken by this and angry at this person’s behaviour as she did not consent to it in any shape or form.”

Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information about this to contact the PSNI on 101 with reference number 1384 of 9/10/18.
