Concerns over the proposed Bashforde Park Village housing development were highlighted at a public meeting at Oakfield Community Centre in Carrick last Thursday.
A number of participants were dismayed at the limitations of the notifications of the proposed development.
The environmental impact and transport links were also discussed.
There was considerable concern about the southern end of the new Victoria Link.
It was noted that the wood at Bashfordsland has a Green Flag award.
It was agreed that concerns should be passed to local councillors. A meeting will be sought with the developer concerning compensation measures to reduce the impact of the development.
