A Carrick farmer has issued a warning over trespassing after a worrying incident.
The warning comes after a dog attacked lambs on land in the outskirts of the town.
The farmer who did not wish to be named said: “Dog owners drive up the up the section of road open their boots or trailer doors and allow their dog to run about the road unsupervised and foul on verges and on the road. A dog has entered the field adjacent and worried my lambs.
“As a result, two have died, one had to be put down. The other died during treatment by my vet.
“Local notices have been attached on the gates to the fields. these have been ripped down and discarded on two occasions.
“Permanent notices have now been fitted.”
