Police appeal after reports of people running across train tracks in east Antrim

Police have said they will pay close attention to east Antrim’s train stations following reports of anti-social behaviour at the sites.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Safe Transport Team, Translink staff and local police will be paying considerable attention to Greenisland, Antrim and Carrickfergus railway stations over the next few days.

“We have constant reports of anti social behaviour in these areas which include people running across tracks.

“Please do not run across lines, walk alongside lines, sit on edges of platforms or anywhere else that might mean you’re in close contact with a moving train. Not only that, but it’s illegal.”
