The Carrrick heat of the all-Ireland Rotary Youth leadership competition has taken place, drawing candidates from Carrickfergus Grammar and Ulidia Integrated College.

Following a selection procedure at school level, Abby Horner, Carrickfergus GS and Adam McVicar, Ulidia, competed for a place in the area final with the former progressing to the event in Coleraine. The overall prize is an opportunity to travel to Strasbourg in February to represent Rotary Ireland at the European Youth Parliament.
