Mid and East Antrim Council has announced the winner of its Sullatober Household Recycling Centre (HRC) prize draw.

Ross Jackson picked up an Amazon Fire HD at the Carrickfergus site after dropping off an old electrical item. His name and many others were entered into the draw.

Council noted that Sullatober HRC is continuing to do well with electrical recycling and has one large container taken off site each week. The items are taken to ERP Recycling where they are broken down into their component parts and then re-used to make new electrical items.

The Mayor, Cllr Lindsay Millar, attended the prize presentation to show her support for recycling across the borough.

Council added: “Well done to the HRC staff and local residents for this impressive recycling rate. Thank you to Charlotte Budd at ERP Recycling for the great prize.”
