A Carrick store and its customers have been thanked for their support of LUPUS UK.

Local woman Angelina McDowell, who has Lupus, arranged to have a collection box placed in Wilson’s Minimarket, Victoria Road.

The initiative raised £816 which has now been forwarded to the national charity.

Angelina thanked Clive Wilson from the store and those who donated for their support.

LUPUS UK presently has over 5,500 members and a number of regional groups which arrange medical talks and organise fundraising events. It also operates a grant programme for research.
