Carrickfergus students have successfully completed a tailored training initiative which helps employers find staff with skills they need.
Rebecca Hall and Iain Weir from Carrickfergus were among 16 local people to graduate from Deloitte’s Human Capital Academy.
Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry hosted an ceremony for those graduating from the academy at Belfast Metropolitan College’s (Belfast Met) E3 Campus.
The six-week Academy, delivered through the DEL Assured Skills initiative, trained participants with the skills identified by Deloitte to be considered for a role with the company.
Minister Farry said: “I wish to congratulate all the academy graduates. Over the past four years my department’s Assured Skills Academy model has continued to deliver graduate jobs by providing employers with an opportunity to develop bespoke training programmes.”
Meanwhile, Megan Patton from Carrickfergus was among 12 local people to graduate from the WhiteHat Security IT Training Academy. Again the five-week academy was delivered through DEL’s Assured Skills.
