Carrickfergus business students have been learning more about local industry.
Carrickfergus Grammar School’s year 12 Business Studies pupils visited the Schrader Electronics plant.
The company, which has a factory at Trooperslane Industrial Estate, is a producer of tyre pressure valves around the world and it has grown quickly to become a major employer in Northern Ireland.
The young people were given a tour of the premises and were given opportunities to ask relevant questions about the company’s growth and recruitment.
The tour, according to Carrick Grammar School, provided students “with a really useful practical example of how a successful business is managed and run”.
