Children have employed the latest technology to explore the historic environment, at Carrickfergus Museum.
Mid-Antrim Museums Service, in partnership with CultureTech, delivered a free digital engagement workshop.
Young people recreated a virtual Carrickfergus Castle using the computer application, ‘Minecraft edu’.
The workshop was organised as part of a digital engagement programme tied in with the ‘Ways of Seeing: A Sense of Place’, exhibition, which brings together artworks from the collections held in Ballymena, Larne, Carrickfergus and Newtownabbey.
Meanwhile, the Antrim Street venue also hosted the Maths Trail Challenge based on tasks set around the historic town. In developing this project, the museum also celebrated acclaimed mathematician Robert Adrain, who was born near Kilroot.
