Belfast City Hospital theme for Carrickfergus historians
Carrickfergus Historical Society will host a talk on the history of the Belfast City Hospital in the Jubilee Room of Carrickfergus Town Hall on Wednesday, November 28, at 8.00pm.
It will be given by Norman Campbell who has practised at the institution for 31 years.
His talk will cover the history of the hospital from its inception as a workhouse in 1841 up to the present day.
John Hulme, Hon Sec of the Historical Society, said: “Many of us or family members as well as friends have benefited from the care received in that establishment. That will make this a particularly interesting evening.”
The talk will be open to members of the public.
