The 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain has been marked with a parade and service in Carrickfergus.

Organised by the Carrickfergus branch of the Royal Air Forces Association, veterans were joined for the commemoration by RAF Air Vice-Marshall David Niven, the Lord Lieutenant for Co. Antrim, Joan Drummond OBE and the Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Councillor Billy Ashe.

A number of uniformed youth organisations paraded too from the harbour car park along Castle Street and High Street en-route to Joymount Presbyterian Church.

The service was conducted by Joymount minister Rev Richard Graham and former RAF chaplain Rev Purvis Campbell.

The parade then returned to the harbour via Joymount and Marine Highway.
