Libraries NI is holding a new One Book NI initiative to encourage as many people as possible across Northern Ireland to read the same book during October.

The chosen book is “Turning for Home” by Barney Norris.

Barney will be visiting Carrickfergus Library on Wednesday October 3, at 6.30pm.

Barney is an award-winning playwright, poet and novelist. His debut play, “Visitors”, won the Critics’ Circle Award and the Offwestend Award for Most Promising Playwright.

His first novel, “Five Rivers Met On A Wooded Plain”, was a “Times” bestseller. His second novel “Turning for Home” was inspired by the true-life story of what came to be known as “The Boston Tapes”.
