Doctors, nurses and reception staff from The Castle Practice in Carrickfergus have signed up to take part in the Twilight Walk.
The team members are raising money for Marie Curie and are encouraging others to join them.
Samantha Bailey, practice manager, said: “We were looking for something to do together as a team and the Marie Curie Twilight Walk looked ideal. It’s not too challenging and taking place in the evening means we can all do it when the practice is closed.
“We really like the name ‘Twilight Walk’ too and we’re looking forward to the entertainment and fireworks display at the end. There are twenty of us signed up to do the walk and we’ve been practising at lunchtime, getting our step count up, so we’ll be well prepared for the walk!”
The walk will take place on Friday, September 27 in Barnett Demesne, South Belfast. All money raised will be used by Marie Curie to help people living with a terminal illness and their families. Registration for the event is now open at mariecurie.org.uk/twilightwalk or call 02890 882060.
