The sunset cruise attracted hundreds of car lovers from across the country and raised a fabulous £1002.31 for local life-limited children and their families.

Event organiser, Stacey Chambers said: “We had a great turnout for our 4th Carrick Car Cruise evening. The weather was fantastic and the Castle Car Park was packed. Everybody was so generous to the Children’s Hospice, supporting our raffle, the stalls, food outlets and the Blackboard Truck.

“This all helped to bring in our biggest donation to date and I would like to thank everyone who attended and all who helped us in any way. We are so proud to be in a position to call at Horizon House and know that this money will pay for specialist nursing care for some very brave little children.”

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice Community Fundraiser Catherine O’Hara said: “On behalf of everyone at Children’s Hospice I would like to sincerely thank Stacey and her colleagues at Carrick Car Cruise for once again putting our charity at the heart of this wonderful event. This donation will fund respite breaks both at Hospice and in the homes of our life-limited children. It really is a wonderful gift to give and we are so very grateful to Stacey and the team, their supporters and sponsors. It costs £3 million pounds to maintain our services and with limited Government funding we need to raise £2.5 million every year. All donations, large and small are very much appreciated.”
