FROM:- Cottage Road Resident.
I would like to pass comment in defence of the Dollingstown roadworks. I live on the Cottage Road and have waited for years on this roundabout.

The Dollingstown crossroads is very busy and dangerous especially at rush hour times. The roundabout wi
ll make it much easier for Cottage Road and Inn Road users to emerge onto the main road.

Yes the delays are a pain but it will be worth it in the end, the workers have seemed much more professional than the usual water and electric contractors. They have even been working until 9.15pm in the evening trying to get the job done.

There have been a few hiccups with the lights but these things happen, the most annoying thing is the selfish light jumpers who spoil the timings for the rest of us.

I was surprised to hear of loss of business at the Dollingstown chippie, I thought they would have benefited from the extra trade of workers. There is ample parking at the Dollingstown centre for people to stop and shop.

I would like to thank the elected representatives who have helped convince Roads Service to finally give us our roundabout.
