SNOOKER: Greenbank '˜A' continue to lead the way

Greenbank '˜A' remain top of the Larne and District Snooker League this week after beating their '˜B' team 3-2.

Wins for Johnston, Douglas and Kane saw the ‘A’ team home with Roy Johnston and Cecil Scroggie taking two frames for the ‘B’ team.

Carrick ‘A’ remain second thanks to a fine 3-2 away win against Latharna. Ricky Bradley with a 35, B. Rafferty and D. Wright all won. R. Weir (47) and N. McFayden provided host team’s response.

Ballyclare Old Boys are now up into third spot after a 4-1 home win against Q. Club ‘B. D. McClean, T. Hart, J. Lennon and D. Vennard all won. R Scott’s frame was mere consolation for the visitors.

Ballylumford remain fourth despite losing to 3-2 at Linfield. P. Wylie, with breaks of 27 and 32 won, along with D McAllister.

R Forsythe, B. Parke and W. Stewart (22) won for the Blues. St Comgall’s maintained their good form with a 4-1 win at Q Club ‘A’, while The Point beat Ballyclare ‘B’ 3-2 and Ballyclare ‘A’ had a great 5-0 win at Carrick ‘B’.
