Galacticos fire past Weapons
Doagh’s Rab McCullough registered the first frame in each session, but the night belonged to the Galacticos. Best for them was D. McDonagh (three out of three) and J. Mackay (three out of three).
League leaders The Swift showed why they are setting the pace with their 11-3 success at Greenisland Colts while Whitehead Spartans edged to an 8-6 win over Eastway.

Hide AdClare Roberts’ Warriors got the better Gordon McCormick’s Whitehead Trojans. With the score at 1-2, the Warriors found their range winning the next five, taking the sessions 5-2 and 4-3.
In Monkstown, Hit Men & Her enjoyed a 9-5 win over visitors Greenisland Working Men’s Club. The trio of Andy McMeekin, Paul Henderson and Sara Greenberg pulled out finishes for fun, taking both sessions 4-3 and 5-2. Best for the hosts P. Henderson (3/3), S. Greenberg (2/3), A. McMeekin (2/3), and for the visitors H. Reagan (2/3).
Elsewhere, Teddy Bears played host to Hugh McMurtry’s Cowboys and found themselves in an all-too-familiar position at 5-2 down at the break.
In the second session they got themselves in with a shout of a point. With the visitors leading 7-5, up stepped young Jack McMurtry. He didn’t disappoint with the Teddy Bears left with a consolation last frame.
