The Larne native, who had a spell with the Gers when they were last promoted to the top-flight in 2011, put pen to paper with the Taylor’s Avenue club at the weekend.

Keenan is expected to provide stiff competition for the impressive Brian Neeson who was one of the club’s top performer’s in the trophy-laden campaign just past.

First-team coach Gary Haveron told the Times: “We have lots of work to do on and off the field and the arrival of Keenan is good news.

“He has had great experience and proved himself as a quality performer with both Crusaders and Larne and he will undoubtedly challenge Neeson for the number one jersey.”

Keenan played for Amateur League side Islandmagee last year.
