Goals in each half from Jim O’Hanlon and Mark Miskimmin secured the win for Eddie Patterson’s men, who had former Larne and Carrick keeper Chris Keenan guesting in goal.

Gary Haveron’s side missed a string of opportunities. Summer signing Miguel Chines and Ryan Kane came closest to finding the net for the home team when they both rattled the woodwork.

Carrick are in action again this evening (July 31) with a friendly against St. Pat’s at The Cliff, Larne (7:30 pm).
