Rangers lose out to Ards

Carrick Rangers suffered their first league defeat since August, losing 3-2 at Ards on Saturday afternoon.

Denver Gage’s 10th-minute header put the home side in front before Miguel Chines levelled matters with a free-kick.

Former Carrick frontman Stephen O’Neill pounced on a loose ball to restore Ards’ one-goal advantage, but the teams went in level at half-time when Rangers skipper Aaron Harmon found the net.

On 66 minutes Craig McMillen ran through and slotted past Brian Neeson for what proved to be the match-winning goal.
