Rangers draw with Glentoran

Carrick drew 0-0 with Glentoran in a pre-season friendly at Inver Park on Tuesday evening (July 14).

The match saw former Carrick man Jonny Addis line up against his old club, but the play failed to inspire.

The game was staged at the home of Larne FC because of ongoing work at Taylor’s Avenue.

The drab encounter finished goalless. Carrick goalkeeper Chris Keenan was forced off injured in the first half and was subbed by outfield player Jack Martin who was later replaced by a trialist in goal.

The Gers welcome Eddie Patterson’s men to the Belfast Loughshore Hotel Arena in a Danske Bank Premiership clash on August 15.

Carrick’s next scheduled friendly is a trip to the Riverside Stadium to take on Institute on Saturday, August 1 (3pm).

Meanwhile, The Dugout will be open on Thursday evening (July 16) from 6 to 7pm for season ticket sales.
