Manager Peter Owens, who took over the reins of the club at the start of the season, also steered his side to promotion in midweek thanks to a victory over Monkstown FC.

Albion were early on the attack against Cookstown and went in front when Jonny Robb finished off a good move. Things got even better for Krag when Robb put them two up with his second goal.

Albion were quick off the blocks after the re-start, going two goals in front for a second time after Jamie Montgomery netted with a well-placed shot.

RBL kept plugging away and got back into the game when Ricky McMenemy scored, only to see Matthew McFaul restore Krag’s two-goal advantage on 78 minutes.

RBL came back again with a third from John Smith, but Albion held out to progress to the final where they will meet Antrim Rovers.

Albion were set to travel to 3rd Ballyclare OB on Tuesday before facing Ballysillan Swifts on Saturday.
