Miguel Chines got the ball rolling with just 15 seconds on the clock, pouncing on a mistake from the visitors’ goalkeeper.

Carrick doubled their advantage on nine minutes through Ben Roy.

But Belfast men hit back through Graham Beck who reduced the deficit with a close-range finish five minutes before the interval.

Any hopes the NAFL Premier Division outfit had of causing an upset were snuffed out four minutes after the re-start when midfielder Kyle Cherry was first to react to a deflected shot from Roy.

Veteran striker Graeme Arthur, who came off the bench to replace Chines, wrapped things up when he got on the end of an Adam Dick corner to land Carrick’s fourth.
