It was a game Island needed to win and they could have been two up early on but for great saves to deny Andy Waide and Philip McCann.

It was the visitors who took the lead on 25 minutes, breaking the offside trap and cooly finding the net.

Deep into additional time, Workman’s 30-yard shot bamboozled the Shankill keeper to give Stephen Donald’s battling young guns a hard-earned victory.
