FOOTBALL: Goalkeeper Neeson extends stay at Carrick Rangers

Carrick goalkeeper Brian '˜Bam' Neeson has signed up for another season at Taylor's Avenue.

The club’s number one was a key player in last year’s Danske Bank Premiership campaign, picking up the Players’ Player of the Year award.

“I’m delighted to have signed,” Neeson told the Times. “I’ve loved my time at Carrick and there’s no reason for that to change. I spoke with the new boss and Michael Hughes and I was happy with what their plans are going forward. Hopefully we can build on last year.”

Daniel Kelly, Brian McCaul and Glenn Taggart have also signed up for next season.

The club also announced the signing of defender Lee Chapman from Lisburn Distillery.
