Carolin Moore and Sarah Mahon took part in a fundraising abseil for Friends of the Cancer Centre on April 10 - raising over £1600 worth of sponsorship in the process.

The ‘Taking on the Tower’ event saw participants descend the 190ft tower block next to Belfast City Hospital.

Based in the Cancer Centre at the hospital, ‘Friends’ works to support cancer patients and their families right across Northern Ireland.

“The Friends of Cancer Centre is a charity close to our hearts,” explained Carolin.

“They have helped a lot of people including our boss Tom [McMaster] cope with cancer.

“We are pleased he has made a full recovery but know that others have a harder road to walk with this awful disease.”
