Audiences at Oakfield Community Centre were enthralled and entertained when participants demonstrated their stage skills with a brilliant show.

The 4-8 year-old age group from the academy’s Lower Primary classes took to the stage first with an extensive, high impact curriculum designed for developing every student’s confidence and creative skills in a fun way.

The thriving Youth Theatre, which works with the secondary school age-group, acted out a wide range of texts and improvisations throughout their show.

The mini scripted plays set up awkward relationships which called for a great deal of complex timing and emotional work from all the cast, the academy reported.

At the end of their show, students received medals, trophies and certificates.

Principal Lisa Semple said: “The students in the Carrickfergus class are marvellous to work with and it is an absolute pleasure to be able to offer each and every one of these amazing young people the chance to shine through our curriculum.
