Christine Baker, NIE Networks’ Customer Relations manager for the area, said: “We take reports of anyone impersonating our staff very seriously. If someone calls to your door saying they are from NIE Networks, please ask to see their ID pass. Legitimate NIE Networks’ employees will be only too happy to show you their identification.

“If you are still unsure, please feel free to call our Customer Helpline on 03457 643 643 and we will confirm whether or not our employees are working in your area. Alternatively you could contact the PSNI’s Quick Check number on 0800 013 22 90.”
