Good food ambassador Jenny Bristow has joined forces with Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke to raise awareness in Carrick of heart attack symptoms.

Promoting the charity’s ‘Ticker Tea Party’ fundraiser. Jenny Bristow is encouraging families, local groups, and workplaces in the town to register now.

Jenny says: “Help raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of a heart attack, and raise funds by signing up to host a Ticker Tea Party. NICHS will send you a party pack including symptom cards for you and your party attendees, posters, fundraising tips and recipes for some of my favourite healthy tea party snacks to help you get the party started.”

Sadly, according to the charity, current statistics show that approximately 32 people die from heart attacks every year in the Carrickfergus area but survival rates could be improved if people recognised the symptoms and took action quicker.

For a symptom card or any other enquiries please contact fundraising on 028 9031 0184 or at events@nichs.org.uk
